Preschool / Kindergarten VBS

There is nothing like climbing aboard an old train car and being pulled behind a trusty, old steam engine as it chugs down the track. The fascinating sights and sounds of the railroad combine to make lasting memories for anyone who has ever ridden a train. Those memories are made more meaningful when shared with a friend.

True friendship is a precious thing. The aim of this year’s Vacation Bible School Sunlight Express—Jesus and Me is for those who travel this express to meet Jesus and experience His divine friendship. Every stop along the route will provide opportunities to learn from His friends how Jesus impacted their lives. Their stories testify about the depths of His love and teach the passenger what is needed to accept Him as Savior, follow His leadership, trust His care and believe in His resurrection and promised return.

Jesus is alive today and is seeking the same relationship with all who will trust Him. If you’re looking for a friend like no other, climb aboard the old 1513 for the adventure of a lifetime. Invite your friends because the Sunlight Express will soon be departing.

All Aboard! For the Sunlight Express!

Sunlight Express takes students through a series of lessons to develop a close personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Getting the children who attend VBS on board with Jesus through salvation is an eternal decision that is the most important choice they can make in life. That is the focus of Track 1, Jesus Saves.

However, there’s more. Each boy and girl needs to experience the abundant life after becoming God’s child. Following Jesus as He leads is a life skill that gives security and a purpose worth living for. This is taught on Track 2, Jesus Leads. Trusting Jesus to care for us during difficult times gives freedom from worry and anxiety, the emphasis on Track 3, Jesus Cares.

Knowing for sure that Jesus is alive is a faith builder for young believers taught on Track 4, Jesus Lives. The ultimate truth of Jesus’ return to earth for His children captures the attention of believers of all ages. Children are especially interested in hearing about end-time events. Track 5, Jesus Returns, is sure to fascinate the children in VBS as you share the exciting coming events for God’s children.

World events sometimes make us cringe in fear and apprehension. Then we remember Almighty God is in charge of our personal lives, and fear gives way to confidence that He will care for us no matter what happens.

This VBS course provides scriptural guidance to help young children experience a healthy spiritual growth spurt during the week. Invest your best into their lives. Give enthusiasm, love and guidance to those entrusted to your training.

2012 VBS Theme – Sunlight Express, Jesus & Me

All Aboard!

Our 2012 VBS theme is Sunlight Express, Jesus and Me. Train #1513 will soon be departing, taking children on a journey of a lifetime – to five exciting scheduled stops: Great Gorge, Mercy Meadows, Fearless Falls, Timeless Tunnel and Sonrise Summit. While aboard the Sunlight Express children will discover that Jesus Saves, Jesus Leads, Jesus Cares, Jesus Lives and Jesus Returns. Jesus does all of this because Jesus loves us! Our theme verse is:

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

Sunlight Express VBS Lessons Overview

TRACK 1 – Great Gorge – Jesus Saves

Bible Story: Jesus Meets Nicodemus
Lesson Text: John 3:1-7
Memory Verse: “Whosoever believeth in him should not perish,” John 3:16.
Lesson Application: Jesus saves me.
Lesson Objective: The students need to realize that only Jesus saves.
Lesson Aim: The student will learn how to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

TRACK 2 – Mercy Meadows – Jesus Leads

Bible Story: Jesus Leads His Sheep
Lesson Text: John 10:1-9, 27
Memory Verse: “The sheep follow him: for they know his voice,” John 10:4.
Lesson Application: Jesus leads me.
Lesson Objective: The students need to trust Jesus and follow Him.
Lesson Aim: The student will learn the importance of following Jesus as He leads in life.

TRACK 3 – Fearless Falls – Jesus Cares

Bible Story: Jesus Calms the Storm
Lesson Text: Mark 4:35-41
Memory Verse: “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you,” 1 Peter 5:7.
Lesson Application: Jesus takes care of me. 
Lesson Objective: The students need to discover they can always rely on Jesus.
Lesson Aim: The student will learn how to trust Jesus during difficult times of life.

TRACK 4 – Timeless Tunnel – Jesus Leads

Bible Story: Jesus Lives Today
Lesson Text: Luke 24:1-9
Memory Verse: “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore,” Revelation 1:18.
Lesson Application: Jesus lives for me.
Lesson Objective: The students need to identify Jesus as the risen Savior.
Lesson Aim: The student will learn about Christ’s resurrection and its impact on life.

TRACK 5 – Sunrise Summit – Jesus Returns

Bible Story: Jesus Will Come Again
Lesson Text: Acts 1:9-12
Memory Verse: “I will come again, and receive you unto myself,” John 14:3.
Lesson Application: Jesus will come for me.
Lesson Objective: The students need to prepare for Jesus’ return.
Lesson Aim: The student will learn about Christ’s return and how to prepare for it.

KJV VBS – Putting the Bible back into Vacation Bible School

Bogard Press always keeps the Bible at the center of Vacation Bible School.

Are you looking for KJV VBS curriculum? We here at Bogard Press use the KJV (King James Version) Bible for all of our publications. For over a century, Bogard Press has published Bible curriculum using the KJV. Our motto is ”Always True to The Word.”

If your VBS focus is the Bible, then you’ll love our VBS literature. We are strong on Bible truths, stories and memory verses. We use simple verses from the KJV that children love to memorize. Our goal is to teach children the scriptures, which make them “wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15). VBS is a wonderful opportunity to lead children to Jesus Christ. The salvation of their souls should be the most important goal in VBS.
