VBS SNACKS
VBS snacks are an exciting and memorable part of Vacation Bible School. Snacks can also provide teachable moments for children. You can find creative snack ideas for each day of VBS in our Director’s Plan Book. (See snack pages excerpts below.)
SNACK PAGES FROM THE DIRECTOR’S PLAN BOOK
SNACK PERSON
(one person in charge—extra workers as needed)
This person is in charge of organizing and planning all of the snacks for each day of VBS. The person will need to work within the budget to plan and prepare for the snacks and drinks that will be given each day. He will need to be in charge of the people that will be helping him. Your church may choose to have church members bring cookies and Kool-Aid for several weeks before VBS. Another idea would be for different church members to bring snacks each day. You may have a budget amount so that you may purchase the needed food items for each session. This person will need to be able to make these decisions with the director and get the items ready for the children each day. This person should also be sensitive to the dietary needs of the students as some may have allergies that will be affected by food choices.
SNACK CAR
Decorate the snack area as a Snack Car on the train. Don’t forget the Snack Car Location Sign. The artwork below if from the Room Decorations Transparency Book.
